Trip Tools
RV Trip Wizard
This is a subscription site, but it has been very helpful in the overall planning of my travel, times between locations, rest areas along the way, and occasionally planning for what campground I’m going to use.
*Key point of interest for RV campers – this tool also allows you to put in your RV’s height so you don’t end up down a road with a low bridge
Campendium
This site has been great in researching campgrounds of all types. Since it’s member-driven it’s very helpful in seeing real pictures and current reviews. This site is great, but it is missing a lot of places, so I just use this as one of the many tools at my disposal.
All-Stays
Another fantastic tool, but I find this works better on the app while in transit rather then the web-version. All-Stays has not only campground resources, but can be helpful when looking for a dump-station as well!
Dry Camping / Low to No Cost overnights
If I’m going to be dry-camping along the way or have some time to spare in my journey then I use these two sites to find cool locations!
Boondockers Welcome
Boondockers Welcome connects RVers who are looking for free places to park their rigs with RV owners who have boondocking space to share.
Harvest Hosts
Harvest Hosts is a membership program that provides access to a network of wineries, farms, breweries, museums and other unique attractions that invite self-contained RVers to visit and stay overnight.
Destination Trips
Most of my trips at the moment are destination-based trips. These are trips that I have an ultimate end location and am filling in the blanks in-between.
